Dr. Surekha has close to 25 years of experience in the field of Recruitment. She started her own recruitment firm in the year 1994, when there were only a handful of Recruitment Consultants, in Chennai. Ever since she has been successfully matching the right skills with the right jobs across various industries, and has handled entry level to very senior level positions.
She has done her Bachelors in Commerce (B.com), from Madras Christian College and a MBA from the Department of Management Studies, University of Madras. In 2017, she completed her PhD, in Commerce and Management from Madras Christian College under the University of Madras. She is a Certified Career Counsellor from Univariety and UCLA’s Extension Program.
The topic for the PhD thesis was related to Midlife Career Changes. While working on it, she realized that people had made wrong career choices for various reasons, and regretted them and hence switched careers later in life.
This was one of the reasons that compelled her to look at guiding children from a young age to take charge of their careers.
As part of the recruitment process, she has counselled and guided many, who are now in senior positions in corporates. Some have turned Entrepreneurs too.
She is passionate to work with Children and help them choose the right careers, and be responsible for the choices that they make. This would make them happy adults.
